JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - We're only four days into August and the Missouri Department of Transportation has a reminder for drivers.
MoDOT launched a statewide awareness campaign urging motorist to drive safely around commercial vehicles by following a few rules of thumb.
Commercial Motor Vehicle Program Manager Heather Lebert told KXCV/KRNW that drivers should also avoid cutting off large trucks or buses and to keep an eye on their following distance.
Commercial vehicles make up 20% of Missouri's roadway traffic.
